Have you ever bought a CBD product, particularly a CBD Oil or spray, and even after a few weeks of use didn’t get any benefit from it?

Maybe it wasn’t as strong as the label implied!

Users of CBD products, especially new users, often find themselves struggling to figure out how strong a CBD product really is from the information on the label. Sometimes it’s not just as straight forward as reading the number of milligrams.

Typically bottles of CBD Oil only quote the amount of CBD mg contained in the bottle.

This is quite useless in terms of knowing the effective strength of the bottle, and whether it is the product you are looking for.

So the key question is:

How does the CBD Oil mg in a bottle relate to the actual CBD Oil % strength?

This CBD Oil calculator helps provide some insight into what the numbers on the label actually mean.

Sorry, but in order for you to use the calculators you need to enable JavaScript in your Web Browser. It’s really simple to do, just follow the instructions here to enable JavaScript

Naturally the strength you need depends on what you are taking the CBD for as well as where you are in your CBD experiences.  However we have found that anything less than 2.5% is rarely worth the while.

The key watchout here is that typically a bottle will only quote the mg of CBD contained in the bottle.  So if you see 500mg make sure you then double check the volume of the bottle as 500mg in 10ml is 5% (medium strength), but 500mg in 30ml is only 1.67% (low strength and hardly worth it).

Of course the mg are important if you are taking your CBD through a variety of routes (eg oils, vapes, gummies etc.) as you need to ensure not to go over the 70mg a day.  In this regard please check our various calculators to make sure you are properly comparing like-for-like.
